CWU FOUR PILLARS OF SECURITY BULLETIN NO. 41

Further to LTB 142/18, attached is Bulletin No. 41 concerning the Four Pillars and Pay consultative ballot.

The attached Bulletin has been shared with Divisional, Regional and Area Representatives.

As previously advised, Branches should ensure that each Bulletin is forwarded to Unit/Local/Shift Representatives via email and if necessary by physical means as soon as possible. The co-operation and assistance of all Branches in this regard is greatly appreciated.

So , to vote No is to vote for more of the same.

Are the hierarchy saying in effect that they won't continue to fight for what is best for their members ?
Not that they have anyhow !

Our union wants us to vote yes, and reading between the lines in this bulletin if we vote no we won't get a better deal.

Sorry but if this is the message there trying to bring across, am not buying it.

How are the union going to reduce the shorter working week when most guys are over every day. This is not there choice though, even when they want to work to their time they are forced to take it out.

Bullying and harassment is still there, but most members don't kick up a fuss just because it's too much hassle...this is something that needs to be addressed nationally not just at local level. Our union need to speak to its members or vice versa more by having an open door policy if anything they feel uncomfortable with in the working environment.

What I don't get is when Terry Pullinger was telling us when they were finalising the negotiations that these talks could break down at any moment that I really thought he was giving us all a great deal.

All this deal will do is enable Royal Mail to divide and conquer as if they hadn't been trying to do this already with banking hours, increased lapsing etc etc
