with the reduction in the working week of 1 hour in 2018 and a 5% rise in pay in real terms is only 2.5% as everyone will lose 1 hour per week ie. £10. so a 5% pay rise is about £20 a week less £10 for a loss of 1 hour = £10 Next year there is no paydeal as the 2.5% only covers the £10 lost due to an additional hour taken off your working week .
If they keep this up we will all be P/T.
S the CWU has got us only a 2.5% paydeal until 2020 and a reduction in working week of 2 hours

There is no £10 loss when we drop hours. The hourly rate is increased to compensate for the reduction in hours. Everyones hourly rate increases.

I'm reading it like you, eastie. No mention of us being paid for 39hrs PLUS 5% rise when we drop to 38 hrs. Of course, if nothing changes to our duties, we'll still be working 39 hrs (presuming you can do your duty in 39 hrs now) so we would still be up, except on sick or anual leave weeks. It's the ones who get an hr or two a week flyer ATM who will be losing an hrs pay. Rightly so I say.

Full time workers will be on 38 then eventually 37 hours per week. Part time rate will be based upon a net 39 or 38 hours per week. There is no reduction in the hourly rate for full time workers it will in fact increase. When we reduced hours from 43 to 41 and a half and then to 40 I did not receive a pay cut
Crikey! I've been in this job too long

For part timer on 25 hours with delivery supplement and as a guide

Current £264.29 ADD 5%. £277.50 increase of £13.21 per week
Delivery Supplement is £15.33 ADD 5%. £16.12. increase of £0.77 pence per week

In October the part timers gets an additional 2.6% when the hour off the working is introduced

so £277.50 add 2.6% =. £284.71 increase of £7.21
Delivery Supplement is £16.12 add 2.6% = £16.53 increase of £0.41 pence per week

Than in April 2019 an additional 2% rise

£284.71 plus 2.0 % = £290.40 increase of £5.69
Delivery Supplement is £16.53 plus 2% = £16.86 and increase of £0.33 pence per week

Than the further hour off the working week which part timers receive an extra 2.6%

£290.40 add 2.6% = £297.95 an increase of £7.55
Delivery Supplement is £16.86 plus £2.6% = £17.29 an increase of £0.43 pence per week

The deal for a 25 hour over 3 years is an extra £35.60 per week.

Please note the calculations does not going into decimals. Hope this helps

How can you be 'worked into the ground' when you have a start time, finish time and an acceptable pace to work doing everything correctly?

Up to 1530 LL (1600 Rural) taken from this 'settlement'

For 1023 DO's they anticipate no change in last letter
For 123 DO's 0-15 mins extra
For 70 DO's 16-30 mins extra

But yes 51 DOs 31-45 mins extra (capped to max of 30 mins) :mad I guess most people will not want to be in this 4% of LDOs.

I suppose it depends on your DO and what your current LL spec is. :hmmmm I do agree that we will have no way of knowing before we vote whether our LDO will be impacted

Re the trials I am assuming they relate to multiple-bundle crap etc. I seriously doubt that the present delivery method using the current frame will be superseded in the near future unless they are able to collate the D2D effectively and find a fool-proof way of dealing with the packets. An unpopular delivery method will find most posties being inefficient compared to tried and trusted. :Very Happy

Got to say that from my personal delivery perspective I shall be voting yes. Not at all sure what additional benefits to delivery are going to accrue by a rejection.

I don't think it matters what pay deal we get because the important thing for me is working conditions and our health.

I don't want to be negative about the SWW or the pay deal but I am having nightmares that we may suddenly wind up doing 8 or 9 loops a day to make up for lost indoor workloads - with additional lapsing on top!!

Is there a provision to revisit the 2019 2% increase if inflation is significantly higher?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
