On my contract I have 26 hours but on my first day of starting I was given 27.45 hours.
Do I get overtime rate for 1.45 or is it just normal rate?

I believe any extra is normal rate until you reach 38 hours then its overtime rate.

You get an overtime rate called SSPR for hours above your contract, but the actual rate is the same as during your contracted hours. Actual overtime pay starts at 38 hours for everyone.lin1 wrote:On my contract I have 26 hours but on my first day of starting I was given 27.45 hours.

I’ve just received my first wage slip and it says 26 hours. Shouldn’t it say 27.45?

Yes, tell your manager they should be able to get the extra added, and arrange the back pay as well.
