I would love the opportunity to work for Royal mail but keep getting unsuccessful emails before interview stage.
Do you think I would stand a better chance if I took my cv direct to the delivery office and ask if there are any vacancies? I know they are advertised online but unless you know someone who already works there it seems really hard to get in.
Would it be worth trying to apply under a different email as I may be blocked? Or is this against the rules?

I don't know about the email thing I don't think it'll be blocked unless you've had an interview

As for your cv I failed on my first application with a cv I'd done myself

So I booked an appointment with the national careers service and got them to redo it (I thought mine was good but they made it far more professional)

They won't accept your cv at the delivery office it does have to be done online (even if they know you)

But if you can make yourself known to a manager they might look out for your name when you apply again

I told all my friends & family that I was applying & 2 of them knew managers that work for RM

They put in a good word for me & both the managers put in a good word for me to the manager of the depot that I'd got an interview with

if you want something bad enough go for it wholeheartedly try everything you can to give yourself the edge
