Do I withdraw applications
Do recruiters look through your profile if you have passed the assessment? I have 10 applications on my profile either withdrawn or unsuccessful(although I’ve only been for 1 interview).
I’m just thinking it doesn’t look good that I have been unsuccessful on so many or does it look good that I’ve tried? Not sure. Do you think I should withdraw the unsuccessful ones?

What was the outcome of your interview? Have you been put on the waiting list?

Sorry lin1, don't know the answer to your question as you could argue it either way, as you yourself have. But do you know if it is even possible to withdraw the unsuccessful ones? I tried deleting one, but got a message 'Failed to withdraw job. You already disqualified for this job'. I'm guessing you can only withdraw applications that haven't been decided upon yet. Toying with the idea of deleting my whole profile and starting from scratch but don't know if that would definitely make a difference in my situation.
As I posted previously, I'm trying to get round the fact that my local branch has advertised a vacancy and has used the same job reference number as they did a month before, which means I can't reapply, which seems unfair. Can't help wondering if it is an error on their part, rather than a deliberate ploy to 'weed out' previous applicants ..?
Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding has been that you can apply as often as you like, except after a failed interview where you have to wait 6 months to reapply?

Iknockedtwice- I was unsuccessful for that 1 interview but the other 9 show unsuccessful/withdrawn even though I haven’t been for an interview.

I got a message that I cannot reapply even though I had not been for an interview. The position was withdrawn. I tried contacting recruitment numerous times but I never get an answer. Seems so unfair.

I had an interview at one office in March which I was unsuccessful. Then a vacancy was advertised at a different delivery office in July which after applying I got an email saying I was unsuccessful as I had already been unsuccessful at a similar post(although it was a different delivery office). In the email it said I cannot apply for six months. I can understand at the same office but I thought you could apply to different delivery offices.

After failing an interview you cannot apply to **any** delivery offices for 6 months. If the outcome of your March interview came in April, six months from then means you can start applying again in October AFAIK. Or if the 6 months is taken from your interview date than maybe sooner.

Ah ok. So it’s only if I’ve been interviewed and been unsuccessful.
What if the position has been withdrawn? Surely that’s not six months?

Correct! Unless you mean ... if you have an unsuccessful interview AND that position is subsequently withdrawn? I would imagine, yes, that would also bar you from applying anywhere for 6 months.lin1 wrote:Ah ok. So it’s only if I’ve been interviewed and been unsuccessful.

What if I’ve applied since being unsuccessful at my interview and been knocked back because it’s not passed the six months, will they go off the date of the unsuccessful interview or the dates that I keep re applying?
Also if I delete my profile can the recruitment team still see everything at their end?

Could I just ask what you mean by "fail the interview"?
What happens if there are three candidates for a position and they are all amazing but one is slightly more amazing than the others.
Do the other two "fail the interview"?
Thanks In Advance!!

No. They can all pass or (I suppose) all fail the interview. Seems like there is a fixed threshold, and if you reach/surpass it, you pass and can at least be put on a 3 month waiting list. Whether you get the job is down to whether you scored more than the others.PersianCatLady wrote:Could I just ask what you mean by "fail the interview"?

Re: Do I withdraw applications
Hi there,
If i fail the application online assesment, does that mean i won’t be able to apply for similar roles at different do offices for the next 6 months ? Or is it only after failing the interview that you have to wait 6 months?
- thanks, ( p.s ) i used to be a postie and im tryna get back into the job, i’ve been told by one do manager that you have do apply online and HR deals with it, not the DO MANAGERS...is that true?)
