Three weeks in and I can’t take much more. Who do I speak to first - my coach or a manager?
Love the job but my pair is making it unbearable with her constant moaning and lack of help. Minute she turns up she is already moaning at the managers, no good morning or anything, I just get a scowling face like Im a nuisance. She criticises everything, even if it’s nothing to do with me she still complains and insinuates it’s my fault. Everyone knows what she is like, even my coach wasn’t happy I was to be paired with her. Just need to know how to handle it before I tell her what for!

Tell her to do one. She sounds like a bully. If that doesn't work have a word with your union rep or work coach and failing that then yes, go to your DOM or LINO. The job is hard enough in the first few months without worrying about how another member of staff can make or break your day. Don't let her or anybody make you give this job up. For all its faults and changes in the past several years, it's still a good job with a half decent pay packet. And did you really go through all the recruitment malarkey to walk away after a couple of weeks due to some torn faced postie. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Thank you Navalron. I’m determined not to give up as its a good job despite getting drenched the last 2 days! Everyone else is really helpful & friendly, it’s just her. Trying to be diplomatic with her, putting on the happy smiley face I learnt when dealing with grotty customers, but I’m reaching boiling point and no one wants that. Will have a chat with my coach tomorrow and take it from there.Navalron wrote:Tell her to do one. She sounds like a bully. Hang on in there. You won't be paired with that person forever and things may get better.
