I was just wondering typically if reference checks are obtained in every position I’ve had? Or just the references I gave on my CV? Will they check my full employment history even? I’ve never had a security check so I have no idea. Any details you can provide will be helpful :)
Also I forgot to ask in the interview is there much chance for extra hours? As the job is a 28 hour contract

Congratulations.
As far as I’m aware, they check for criminal convictions with the dbs but I don’t think they actually get references for all jobs. I asked my previous employer if they asked for a reference and they didn’t. So not really sure what they do with your work history.
Extra hours will be completely down to your particular DO. I’m on a 25 hr contract and regularly do 30 or so.
Good luck and get your walking practice in!

Congratulations!
I'm starting on Monday with my welcome day. They're not asked any references from me. After the pre-employment check I received an email to congratulate for passing the checks then a letter came from DBS and a few days later my contract came through the post.
Hope it helps. Good luck!
