Advice?

Post by Callum »

Helloo! Back in early January I was invited to an interview for a local delivery office for a postie position, I didn’t get the job but was put on the waiting list. I’ve apllied for another 8 positions around other local depots however I’ve been unsuccessful on 4 of these because I didn’t do the online tests in time? The email for the waiting list defo said not to do these tests since I already passed them? Any help?? Thanks in advance guys

This has happened numerous times according to threads on here. Apparently the best solution is to contact the recruitment team and advise them.

Sorry I am an Admin on here doing some background stuff, but if you search for myrecruitment in the New starters area you should find something.

Otherwise, I'll try to find it later and post it up.

A similar thing happened with a couple of my applications. Once informed, recruitment sorted out the problem.

I dont understand this. If you are put on a waiting list it tells you not to do the tests again because you have already passed but if you dont get put on a waiting list you have to do the test again even though you would also have passed in order to have secured an interview in the first place :hmmmm

Yeah I had this same issue with Royal Mail & I emailed to find out the answer & they replied with you have to complete the online test no matter what.i applied for a job & wasn’t successful the exact same job came up a month later I enquiried do I have to do the same online test that I did & passed again, the reply was yes.Sadly I am no further forward trying to get a position.Starting to get disheartened & no sure if I should keep persevering tbh.

Are you being serious? When i emailed them they just told me that a person scored a higher points total than me and thats why they got the job. No other offers, not put on a waiting list just told i had to wait 6 months before applying again which i have done twice now and nothing doing.
