Safe to hand in notice?
Would you say it was safe to hand on notice at the conditional offer stage? I know i dont have any convictions and havent ever been in trouble with the police but still feel nervous about handing it in when there are any conditions attached even if it makes sense because of notice periods etc!

If you were upfront about your notice period then that shouldn't be a problem really. I have 3 weeks between my proper offer and my start date (mainly due to induction availablity). IMO you should wait until you have your start date agreed before you hand your notice in.VeryHopefulPostie wrote:Would you say it was safe to hand on notice at the conditional offer stage? Theyve given me a start date that takes my notice into consideration, but the offer is contingent on successful completion of the checks, id probably still be better holding off to give it in until the checks are all complete-
Do you mean there were 3 weeks between your proposed start date and your actual start date?

Ah ok sorry, I didn't get my proper offer and start date until after my checks were complete. Proabably wise either way, if you're able to wait without much bother than why risk it.
I had my offer end of Jan and start middle of Feb, so 3 weeks from offer to start is what I meant.
Sounds like you're there though so congrats and good luck!

VeryHopefulPostie, I received my induction and start date with my conditional offer on Monday.
Today I've had an email to say all my checks are now done,so shouldn't be too long until you hear something hopefully!
