Some offices are 1 in 6 off, others are 1 in 4, some offices are on a wallington week where you work mon-sat for 5 weeks straight and have the 6th week off. Duty holders and day off floaters have a rotating day off every week, so mon 1 week, tue the next etc.. Annual leave reserves have the duty holders day off for the duty they’re covering on that particular week, which is rarely a saturday, and finally spares have whatever’s left.

Realistically, if you go in expecting no Saturdays off, you won’t be disappointed.

SATURDAY WORKING

We had a newbie start a few months back. Induction Day on the Monday, in the office on the Tuesday and resigned on the Wednesday when he was told he wouldn't get the coming Saturday off. He needed most Saturdays off and assumed he would get them. It was a waste of time for both him and RM that he got so far through the recruitment process with out realising, or being told, the situation with Saturdays.

Starting a 3 day contract soon, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday , do I get a rotating day off, or will I just do the same three days each week and never get a Saturday off unless it’s as holiday. Thanks

It probably depends on how many hours - but my best guess is that working days are fixed and you will have every Monday, Tuesday and Friday off, unless you volunteer for overtime.
