Uniform payroll number

Hi I start next week and the letter says to order uniform just ring. So I rang however I need a payroll number. I emailed recruitment who told me contracts will not be sent out until after I have started... how do I get my payroll number to order uniform? Thanks

I joined in 2017 and I am sure the first time I saw my payroll number was when I received my contract which was only a day or 2 before I started work.

I got mine at my induction too, started last Monday 19th (induction)
