Hi, I am provisionally meant to start working for RM on Monday 19th November but have still to receive confirmation of security clearance ( I know this is fine as I had a DBS done back in August and have not been on a crime spree since then lol).
I emailed the helpline on Monday and received a reply saying my checks should be completed by my start date but as of now I have heard nothing more. I have tried to email several times but no response and tried to call but it's an automated system which doesn't answer my questions.
In my interview I was told to turn up for my first shift even if I haven't received confirmation and my provisional offer letter states the same, however I am worried that if I turn up (it's the night shift) and get turned away then I will be stranded as have no way of getting back home as I would have missed my last bus!!
Anyone,in the same situation or could offer advice I would be very grateful?
