Call from recruitment

Post by Zoemaz123 »

Hi I went for an interview Monday and had an email today saying I was unsuccessful but on a waiting list, then an hour later I have a call from recruitment offering me a different position which they sent a link and I applied.
Does this mean the job is mine subject to checks
Thanks

That's pretty much what happened to me last year (I was on waiting list and then they called me as another vacancy came up in the same office as I had originally interviewed for). Assuming you accepted over the phone then they will be starting the checking process. :thumbup

Probably but it can take some time so don't jump the gun too early.

No I won’t you never know what can happen, I’ve filled out the form for security and pre employment checks, what I’m worried about though is there’s a few jobs on there as I deliver parcels have done for years but in between I’ve had other jobs to make my money up, so I’m hoping they don’t think I job hop and turn me down for that. I know I’ll breeze security checks.

Yes I did accept over the phone and they told me not to hand in notice yet, they said possible start date 02/01/2019. So the plan is if all goes well and I hear back in good time I will work upto Christmas Eve on my parcel round and have rest of Christmas off!
