Uniform for women

Post by Wakewaterblue »

Hi all

Got my uniform today, the female shorts are tiny! I'm going to have to reorder to some obscenely large size, I'm a 12 and they were not even close to fitting. Any women here tried the mens shorts? How do they compare? Any advice much appreciated.

I ordered 2 pairs of shorts, size 10, and at first they were a little tight. However, four weeks later I have lost so much weight that they fit perfectly now and all of my other clothes are hanging off me! The trousers are horrible. I will be wearing my shorts throughout my time with RM. I wonder if any women here have tried the skirts?! They just seem wrong somehow.

I know about the skirts right! how is that even practical?!

I don't seem to have lost any weight. Well, I weighed myself and no change but maybe I'm building muscle pushing that trolley and I'm losing in measurements. Let's hope so anyway!

I don't see how you can't lose weight, it's manic and physical.

Or maybe I am eating more thinking I can ha!

I don't think I will be wearing the trousers, I hope I can wear the shorts all year but we will soon get the harsh winter coming our way. My legs don't seem to get cold, it's the top half and hands for me.

Hi @Wakewaterblue
I find my legs are fine and comfy in the shorts - get a bit splashed when it's wet but skin dries so much more quickly than fabric. I'm the same: hands and head feel the cold. Am advised gloves will be ordered, but I shouldn't think they will be waterproof - way too expensive!! So I have a pair of surgical glove in my pocket at all times - just in case. You can still use the PDA and they make your hands sweat a bit so they can't possibly get cold and seize up!
I also plan to cut the legs off my trousers, giving me three pairs of shorts.

I have lost 7kg since starting 11 weeks ago. I'm pushing an HCT on a 15km route. You'll find the weight dropping off you soon enough. Don't worry! Then you'll need to reorder your uniform in a smaller size!
