Don’t worry about the contract, it’ll eventually make its way to you. New starts are on a 6 month trial period, however unless you do something really really really bad you’ll more than likely be kept on. Telling you to speed up is a bullying tactic used by managers to make you feel guilty about claiming overtime or cutting off. It takes many many months for a new start to get up to the same speed as an experienced postie, RM well and truly know this as they only pay you 90% of an experienced posties wage for the first 6 months and 95% of an experienced posties wage in your second 6 months. You have to have thick skin to get through your first few months with the manager you have just now by the sounds of it, don’t let anything they say bother you much. Good Luck.Fedup2 wrote:Hi all.
