I understand for some the checks can take up to 4 weeks so it seems more waiting! But hopefully it is all worth it in the end!
What type of things do they go through and how thorough are they when carrying out the checks?
Do they mainly consist of police checks? (databases and records) and do they contact every previous job that you have had, most of my life I've been Self Employed so will they contact HMRC to confirm this?

How thorough and how long are RM Security Checks?

They only do random checks on previous jobs as far as I can tell, so yes, if they decide to check yours a little further (unlikely) they will confirm details with HMRC or whoever they use.

How thorough and how long are RM Security Checks?
my security check when it was submitted was 2 days but not sure how long it took RM to receive the certificate
