3 weeks since interview//fingers crossed
Hi All , i can see that RM are pretty overworked in the HR dept , but its coming up to 3 weeks after interview and nothing, should i be worried or hang in there? not sure if emailing HR actually is beneficial as i dont wanna annoy them lol
this is my dream job ( i know ) suits me down to every detail and feel like i'm losing hope as each day goes by :( , i can see a couple of people have had to wait just as long and some longer , is this a slow time for recruitment now ? i also held off other jobs as i really want this more.

I had to wait one month until I heard back. I am currently in the security check process.

August to October/November is slow in recruitment for Royal Mail. Typically they have to prepare, review, interview and then select between 18,000 and 20,000 casual temps for the Christmas rush. Unfortunately, that effort slows down the normal recruitment process for permanent staff as well.
Stay in there, at RM the longer the wait, the better the news, usually.

Hi guys, have you had any luck chasing RM for an update at all? I'm only about 8 days into the wait, but slightly worried it could be 3 weeks+ !!

I had my interveiw 1st August and I'm just waiting on a start date, my security checks were completed on the 28th Sep! It's a long old process, just as well I like my present job.

Haha my heart sank reading that, as I want to leave my job as soon as I can and I'm well behind you in the process.pinkpaws wrote:I had my interveiw 1st August and I'm just waiting on a start date, my security checks were completed on the 28th Sep! Not a surprise though reading how long it can take as well as in the interview they said it could be before, could be after Christmas they would want successful candidates to start.
Hopefully get there in the end though.

I've seen a few people have said they've chased it up with the DO. Anyone know what's the best way to contact them?

I think its worth chasing. I contacted them on the myapplication@royalmail.com email. I got a message saying the email address was no longer being monitored, and it listed who to contact for each area.
I waited just over a week for the DVLA request, and another couple for the photo ID request/confirmation that the security checks are underway and will take up to 14 working days.

I did email them and they emailed me back saying that Id passed everything and they were working their way through the interveiw packs and they will be in touch soon, but my friend who had her interview a month after me has been given a start date!! I'm so frustrated with it now.

I sent an email Friday afternoon to that address. Just got an email for the DVLA code. So progress, even if slow.Postmin wrote:I think its worth chasing.
