202 jobs on the site, and I could comfortably have a crack at 95% of them.
I dust off my carbon based CV for a silicon based makeover. Its' not been fired in anger for many a year and needs to sparkle.
I'm quick on the draw,, Only hours old, I select a 16hr [permanent] contract tramping the streets at a local DO just 7 miles away.
I'm asked if I would relocate? 7 miles - Really?? Guess I'm going to loose a few points on that one...
I wonder if Rico loses points for flying in from Switzerland??
Anyway,, I pi55 through the online tests like a scalded racehorse.
It's job done.... Now I wait...

Good luck, you're certainly a live one!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Thank you TBT for your warm welcome to this site,
I won't be offering anything but my own experience, or at least, not until I get full hat wearing privileges from yourself.
As you know I seldom wash -
But I do take a hike, and bathe my soul regularly.

Today's a great day.
My inbox is 'pulsing' with mail.
I excitedly open one marked RMG Recruitment, and beam like a simpleton.
I've been waiting for this day.
They likely want to sweep me up into my new uniform, and shower me with waves of admiration.
But wait …
No.
It states...
“Due to unforeseen circumstances this vacancy has now been withdrawn”
And that's it?
The foreplay is over??
How can this be? Maybe I need Orna on my review panel.

I shake off this first minor tribulation.
Clearly RM's loss – and surely heads will roll for squandering such an opportunity.
But I'm too pumped to lose sleep over their blunder, and re-concentrate my endeavors.
Now, 179 jobs on the site, and still, I could easily have a crack at most of them.
I'm in luck... I plumb for a job that's right up my street – literally. It's the local DO only 2 miles away.
Moreover, Its a 30hr [permanent] contract on home ground, what could be more convenient?
I pi55 through the online tests like a Methamphetamine fueled Junkie.
Job done.... Now I wait...
