Can anyone tell me how the holiday list process works? I joined in Feb and had prebooked holiday and managed to also get a week in June. When does the list open again for next year? I understand that you are put into groups for choosing holidays with ne group going first then the next. Do they choose all of their holidays at once or just the main one? Concerned there won't be a lot of choice if we are last

Arrangements for leave for the following year should be completed by the end of October - but sometimes it runs over.

Seniority is not allowed to be used when picking leave.

All units have different ways of picking leave.

In HD we all apply for 2 slots, then 2 more and then the last 2, seniority is not used but if leave slots are oversubscribed then people can negotiate. If they can't decide between themselves then all names in that slot go into a lottery. If someone loses one lottery then if there is a second clash with one of their picks they are normally given a bye.
