Hi guys, been reading this forum non stop for the past two months and it’s been super helpful with anything I’ve needed to know regarding the recruitment process(long process) however I could do with some advice. Received my formal offer today, however I’m a little confused as to why they are asking me send my bank details over email, is this usual practice?

Nothing to be paranoid about, they just want your sort code and account number, that`s how you get money into your bank account.
They didn`t ask for your pin, did they?

If you think that's bizzare, just wait until you actually start the job. As the saying goes, "you ain't seen nothing yet"!

Not forgetting to email a selfie for the ID card!
