Just when I thought it was going so well . . . . .

Post by Angwyn »

Feeling amused this morning :chuckle
I applied for a position 18/5 - invited to interview 24/5 - interview 30/5 - quick eh?
Applied for another position in the meantime just in case 1/6
Got the email to say my interview was successful but higher scoring candidate got it so I go on the waiting list, that was 6/6 - next day got offered the other position :nana
So I'm in pre-employment checks and all the other stuff you have to do, waiting with baited breath for my start date, feeling it surely must be imminenet . . . .
got an email yesterday saying I'm not required for immediate start it will be end of Aug/beginning of Sept
That actually doesn't bother me as I am fortunate enough to be able to wait but what a bugger that would be for someone who needs to be earning ASAP.
The reason given is because "there has been a change to the requirements of the hiring manager".

I wonder if the other posties at the office agree they don't need extra hands/feet for another 2 months? :hmmmm
