hi i was just offered job as postman and wondered if your aloud to wear trainers for first few days of work...i know walking boots be better in long run but just thought go with comfort trainers to start
any help be great

Yes, as long as they are not white, or any garish colour.

anyone know if black trainers with white soles be ok... least until get uniform

Should be ok, but without seeing them and not knowing your manager its not possible to say with 100% certainty. My own advice is don't wear anything fashionable or expensive as they will wear out very fast (12 - 15 miles a day). Cheap but with good support is the way to go for me.

I have my induction on monday, reading through welcome pack on email...question is do i have to print this off to take induction...

You don't have to print the whole email, but there are various forms that need printing (and signing at the induction).

Cheap, because they'll wear out quick.
Trainers, because they are light (unlike walking shoes)
Ankle Support, because you WILL twist your ankle at some point.

Make sure they have a good tread and are waterproof.

Hi there, I wear Karrimor trainers. They are plain black ones and only cost £30. Really comfortable too.

according to one of their own H and S bods, as long as what you wear is fit for the purpose you are wearing them for, they are acceptable.
