Hi everyone
As I will be joining RM soon as a Postman on a part time 25 hour contract, I have a question with regards to my health. I infrequently suffer from anxiety attacks which make me feel severly depressed and render me not being able to talk to anyone let alone leave my house, which once I start feeling a bit better I would usually go and talk to my doctor for prescribed medication to help my moods.
My question is that I am fearful of this happening soon as I start my role, will my manager give me the sack straight away if I am claiming sick pay for more than a week or longer? I have read the contract which states it is at my managers discretion to fail my probation at any time?
Thank you for the advice.

You don't get paid if you're off sick in the first year.

Did you make them aware of this during the interview process? If so then I would think that they have to make reasonable adjustments
