Ordering uniform?

Hi,

I had my first day at the DO today. Manager and the rest of the team seem really nice and very helpful!
My manager went online to order my uniform but he could only order a pair of shoes and a Hi Vis vest.
From what I have read on here if you phone up you seem to get the full allocation.
I was thinking of going in tomorrow and asking him if I could phone them instead, just chance my arm.

What are other people experices with this? Did you phone up? How long did it take to arrive?

I'm on a fixed term 12month 20hours a week contract.

Not sure how it works now but used to be about 6 weeks before you could order full uniform based on the fact that it's a steep learning curve and many new starters leave during that time.

Yeah my manager said the same thing. I was hoping I could phone them up tomorrow and chance my arm. I will see what he says in the morning. I have heard of people receiving uniform well before the 6 week mark and I think they have phoned up.

it will only let me order boots and vis-vests online, I was told to ring up and order the rest

I phoned them up this afternoon, I could only order the 'basic' uniform which is fine. I was told to phone back in 6 weeks from now and order the 'full' uniform.
