my application status (ASR - EXT...), help
Okay so first post and hopefully not last, I've applied for a postman position and done well enough to pass the interview, though I'm having a panic here because a week after my status changed to 'pre employment checks' it now reads ASR - EXT - NON - REF and I've searched google but I can't find any info, have I got the job or what's happening? I'm going to call tomorrow but I'm very keen to get the job and I'm worrying now so can anyone shed some light please?

Re: my application status, help
I wouldnt read into that too much mate because the system they use is slow to update and repeats earlier statuses etc.. mine said the same as yours then said security checks passed and now i have the job officially its saying processing offer again and going on about pre employment checks! im already in so dont stress and contact HR it will probably be an error because it makes no sense!

Re: my application status (ASR - EXT...), help
I know its confusing as hell anytime I type ASR it comes up accident safety? The only thing I can think of is that i stupidly got myself 6 penalty points in the past, but I told them and I'd hate to lose the job because of it! Though thanks for the quick reply my heart sank as soon as I saw non - ref haha so you've given me hope but hopefully it is a mistake! Still like to know what it means though but there's no information about it anywhere.

Re: my application status (ASR - EXT...), help
its ok to ask questions...thats all ive done since i joined this site!! im no expert but i just think reading in to things too much gives you a headache and makes you think the worst!! Theres some good advice on here none of its official unless stated but POSTMAN and BLUETERRIER are quite informative long with others. Google has been my best friend too but all the best advice is right here on the forum
send them an email or if you have the contact number just give them a bell and ask them to clarify it.
they use there own codes for their own reference i assume so scoping the net probably wont yield much.
good luck and keep us informed!!

nice one mate!! i start on the 3/6/15 so not much difference eh! you'll probably have your welcome day the very day before like myself. at least you might be able to shed some light in the future for others who get that on their application status right
Lets hope we are still posting in years to come!!

Re: my application status (ASR - EXT...), help
Hi.
I just found this thread after searching 'Ext - Non-Ref' myself. I applied in May, had my interview assessment a month ago and found out on Friday that I had passed that far and that they would proceed with the final checks. As of today my application status updated to the 'Ext - Non-Ref' and so I wished to see if I could find out what (if anything) that meant. It is maybe positive to hear that others have received that previously and them have been accepted so my fingers are crossed. I will post back once I hear further one way or the other as I could either reinforce the positive stance or should I fail, then then people will know that it doesn't mean anything one way or the other.
Anyway... Congrats to those who got their respective jobs, I hope all is going well and I hope to join you in the ranks shortly.

Re: my application status (ASR - EXT...), help
My status has said interview/ assessment for the last 3 days but I haven't had an email to go to an interview should I be worried or does it say this for a while before any emails are sent?

Re: my application status (ASR - EXT...), help
I can't tell you as I got the email and then checked to see the status update so I have no idea how long it had been like that. I would suggest though that you thoroughly check your emails from the date of the 'status update' until present, including junk and other folders just in case you have missed it. Once you have the email you have to sign in to their system and book your own time slot for the interview...Storm wrote:My status has said interview/ assessment for the last 3 days but I haven't had an email to go to an interview should I be worried or does it say this for a while before any emails are sent?
Good luck...
I will update once my own application reaches a conclusion one way or the other.

Sorry it's been a while but it has been manic and very stressful.
I can confirm that I was accepted and started work on the 20th Oct.
Good luck to everyone else.

Re: my application status (ASR - EXT...), help
Access Service request! but as you can see above it's not a bad thing! I hope so anyway! as that's what my status says today. I would take it to mean that they have made a request for your details to the DBS.
I'm eager to get this job as I was interviewed Back in November and have been on the waiting list ever since. The job was advertised again in December but quickly removed and I was told It was no longer available. so 3rd time lucky and my checks should be okay because I have a child chaperone licence off the council! Funny how you know your clean but you wrack your brains just in case LOL
anyway I'm glad you all had good results and I hope I do too.
