Hello
Let me ask you about a contract. I took an email on 14.01.13 about my induction day which is on 04.02. This email says:
[quote] Your contract will include details of pay, annual leave entitlement and work location. (This will be posted out to you) [quote].
I did not take my contract yet. So my question is:
when it should come and what if i will not take it before my induction day? And i would like to know what is with these 3-months contracts? is it only 3-months because it is first and later they will give me another one or just need postman for 3 month only?
Thanks for answer
Greetings

Re: worried about contract
Not sure if it is needed before you have your induction but this is what it said in my email.
Your contract will include details of pay, annual leave entitlement and work location. (This will be posted out to you)
Accepting the detail of this offer: In order to confirm you accept the offer of employment that has been made to you by Royal Mail we need you to return the following documents in the envelope which will be provided:
As for the 3 month contract from what I have seen on here that is the standard and if you keep your head down/do you job etc you should get it renewed.

Re: worried about contract
I don't think it matters as I didn't get my contract until a couple of days after the induction and had already started at the DO. Just make sure they have your bank details.
At my interview I was told that the first 3 months are basically a trial and the job would be ongoing.
