The early access link is out today what is everyones application progress status?

Post by cornishdevon »

This is regarding the Seasonal worker roles

I applied first thing in the morning about 20 minutes after it came out, uploaded my documents and now at the pre-employment checks stage which says check in progress. In the last 4 years I have applied this would have been completed within hours where I would be told application and checks are complete and to wait for their offer. This is a first for me and I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.

This is the fastest my application has gone through done Ucheck and dbs on same day as applying now just awaiting an offer. Still early days now though I didn’t get sorted until October last year.

I'm assuming these seasonal positions are for mail centres/parcel sorting operations, or do they include going to delivery offices maybe afternoon shift doing parcel routes ?

Just asking as we get zero outside help at Christmas except occasionally some folk that are employed by royal mail in non delivery jobs and to be perfectly frank they might as well round up an all day drinker from the local wetherspoons as they'd be no less use.

It's most likely the former, I have no way of contacting the Christmas Helpline, no email, no number and the autobots are of no use.

Try ChristmasRecruitment@royalmail.com or if you’re really worried withdraw your application and try from a new account. I’d give it until the applications go public before worrying. It hasn’t been long

Email sent and received response.
Thank you for your email.

I’ve had a look over your application and can see that we have received your uploaded documents, and these have been passed to our compliance team to review before being sent to security checks with DBS. Once these documents have been assessed and deemed as compliant with our guidelines, we will be able to send your application for security checks, which can take up to 2 weeks. If there are any issues with your application someone will be in touch with steps to amend any errors.
It's that busy that I have to wait up to nearly 2 weeks. Hmm.....
