Interview coming up, question on start times?

Post by Assessment question »

Hi all, I’ve got an interview next week for post person with driving role, the contract is permanent 30 hours a week, 5 days across Monday - Sunday between the hours 7:30am - 5pm, however the vacancy also states;

‘Please note, from the end of April 2024, your attendance times may change by between 30-60 minutes in line with a national project, more information will be available at interview’

Would this 30 - 60 minute variance in time mean solely starting later than 7:30am (8am or 8:30am) or does it also mean start times could be earlier (6:30am - 7am)?

Tbh due to the delivery office being further away in another town I would actually prefer the later start time (8:30am would be ideal) rather than the earlier times. Many thanks.

Without knowing details it will be later.

And you unlikely to be starting at 7:30am thats for fulltimers. Your start time initially will probably be 8:30 - 9:30. After the changes it will be 30 - 60 later

Thank you for the clarification. A later start will actually be preferable personally due to commuting times, so it’s fine by me.

You can check the new start times for delivery offices here, scroll down to the bottom where you can select which office you require then at the bottom it will show the start time.

https://www.cwu.org/national-agreement- ... ish-times/

Example for the 1st office on the list shows 7.30 start (for full time) 16.45 finish

Thanks for that, I copy and pasted the DO times;

Up to 60 Minutes - 16:30 Last Letter
Indicative Start time with a 60 min cap on movement and 1630 last letter : 07:00

Indicative Finish time with a 60 min cap on movement and 1630 last letter : 14:36

Up to 90 Minutes - 16:30 Last Letter
Indicative Start time with a 90 min cap on movement and 1630 last letter : 07:00

Indicative Finish time with a 90 min cap on movement and 1630 last letter : 14:36

Current position as a result of work undertaken by the joint working group
Indicative Start time with pipeline acceleration and 1630 last letter : 07:00

Indicative Finish time with pipeline acceleration and 1630 last letter: 14:36

Don’t quite understand what I’m reading, looks like 7am start - 2:36pm finish? So earlier than advertised on vacancy?

It looks like your delivery office times haven’t changed. You will have to get clarification at your interview.
