Rotas New starter question

Post by Djlewz »

New starter start next week. Just wondering and can't find much info but how far in advance do rotas get done. Just wondering how much notice I have for sorting child care etc

Depends on your manager. Some managers do a rota three weeks in advance and then there are some who are late doing it every week and you have to ask them what you are doing.
’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’

Our bookroom produce a rota list every Wednesday for spare/reserve staff for the following week.

It's not ideal but at least they get a few days notice. :cuppa

Best of luck to you.

We get ours on the Saturday, for the following week. Its socking and makes it impossible to plan a head.

Hello,

It's like riding the waves in Portugal where some days everything is calm and predictable, others you wonder if you'll end up shipwrecked on a deserted beach.

new starters or long term reserve, nobody in ours gets to know until the sat before unless they go in and ask if needing a specific day off, otherwise it's sit and wait
