I've recently started a job at RM as a postie. I'm on the new 40 hour contract, which management seem to have no grasp on how their going to handle the days on it. Just a couple of questions:
- Is it worth joining the union? If so where do I join
- Is the welcome bonus of £1,500 the same as the lump sum old staff have been given (or yet to be given )
- Will I get the bonus as a new starter having joined at the end of July
Let's see how long this job can last...

Re: New Starter Questions
First I've heard of a bonus, it isn't the same thing as you wouldn't be eligible for the selling our soul payment. Think it just reflects the dire situation of RM not being able to take on new staff.
Yes to the union, even if just for any little personal things that might pop up.

I'm turning purple!
