Angard 2016/2017 Pay Rate
Hi
Could anyone tell me what are the current rates for Angard employees after de 12 week period ?
Are they different depending on the site? (is there any London allowance?) or how long you have been working with them?

Angard 2016/2017 Pay Rate
As far as I know, these are the AWR pay rates for our Mail centre (outside London). Unsure if the London rate is different.
Mon-Sat Pay Rates
Day Shift - £10.61
Dawn Shift - £11.39
Early 0500 - £11.02
Early 0530 - £10.81
Evening - £11.19
Lates - £11.85
Nights - £12.95
Sunday Pay Rates
Day Shift - £16.32
Dawn Shift - £17.10
Early 0500 - £16.73
Early 0530 - £16.53
Evening - £16.91
Lates - £17.56
Nights - £18.66
I'm not aware of any pay rise in April, except for those with less than 12 weeks service, which was upped to match National Minimum Wage.

Indeed it was accepted this afternoon. Keep an eye on the Union room for comms from the Union that will detail when RM employees will get it, hopefully, Angard should follow a similar timeline.

Angard 2016/2017 Pay Rate
I thought I had the pay scales worked out but my recent pay slip was confusing. I worked a 1pm-9pm weekday shift (for the first time ever) and expected to be paid at the 'evening rate' for the entire shift. However, I was paid at a lower rate, just over the 'no shift' rate (but it could have been the new 'no shift' rate after the latest pay rise).
Am I right in thinking I should have been paid the 'evening rate' (ie. Finishing after 1959 but before 2140) for the entire shift? All other shifts I've worked I have been paid the rate based purely on the finish time (eg. 2pm-10pm - 'late shift' rate for all hours).
Have they cocked up, or am I wrong about the rules?

I'd query it. The finish time is the one that counts.Si-Co wrote:I thought I had the pay scales worked out but my recent pay slip was confusing. Those are the basic rates for a particular area (Angard have different rates for different areas). Once you have qualified under the relatively new Agency Workers Regulations you should get paid the same as permanent staff employed for the same length of time as you. I think its 12 weeks to qualify and 13 weeks when paid from.
