Online 'application status' codes

Hi

My understanding is that as your application passes through the various stages, you're likely to see the following codes/messages:

APPLICATION SUBMITTED
INVITED FOR INTERVIEW
INTERVIEW BOOKED
INTERVIEW ATTENDED
PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS
SECURITY CHECKS PASSED
HIRED AND START DATE AGREED

Or similar, in that order. That's always been the case with my applications.

A friend attended an interview/registration event over a week ago and would have expected to see INTERVIEW ATTENDED or PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS by now. Instead the message, in the following format, simply says ***submitted***. He has tried emailing and speaking to Angard but isn't getting much info.

Does this look like a potential problem?

That's what it used to say, but as I'm sure you're aware, the system has changed this year & not for the better!
I am not talking Angard, I mean Royal Mail.
