Uniform for temporary workers

I've been told that because I'm a temporary worker I'm not entitled to uniform. I've also been told though that it is possible my manager could offer me some uniform if it is available. What I want to know is if this doesn't happen what would anybody suggest I wear on my first day because I'm completely unsure on what would be suitable. Any help would be appreciated.

Blackpool as postman with driving, I start on Wednesday.

You should get a high vis tabard to go over your civvies as a minimum.

Wear something properly waterproof both top and bottom, also make sure your shoes are sturdy and offer good support you'll be in them in all weathers and walking anywhere from 6 to 9 miles a day.

DON'T wear jeans - they are the worst especially when wet, wear a baseball cap or a hat with a peak to shade your eyes from wind and rain.
