Situation and 12 week rule

Hello,

I was on my 9th week with Angard but I haven't been asked to come in for the past two weeks. I was phoning regularly to begin with, and kept being told "there isn't any work" That was after like 200 phonecalls as the line was always busy. I saw a rise in the landline phone bills, not sure if I was being charged a small amount per call. I receive a single text week to week. Could you do such a day and when you phone you can not get through and when you eventually do the shift has been filled. I am not receiving a single penny, and when I do get that one shift per week it's much less than what I was receiving on the Job Seekers.

What I was wondering though is if I haven't worked for 2 weeks does that week 9 go back to week 1? Having to try and do the full 12 weeks again to try and get that bit extra when I actually do work? Another thing is I was offered quite a few shifts back around the Valentines Day week. All the shifts that were offered were 14:00 - 22:00. Tough to get home at that time as the public transport only takes you so far.

It's a big concern this at the moment. Should I just reapply for Job Seekers? I have been applying for allsorts of jobs hoping to get more hours, nothing so far.

There are lots of threads on the AWR guidelines on this forum and a number that link to government websites that tell you about the rules - I have put a link to the BIS website that outlines the rules on AWR.

Fundamentally to qualify for AWR you need to work 12 weeks without a 6 week gap otherwise the count goes back to 0 and you restart the 12 week counting period. Also, there are some reasons you can be off where the count is paused (e.g. sickness, leave etc) and it doesnt count towards the 6 week gap. All explained in the goverment documentation mentioned above.
