Christmas pay dates

I know that Xmas staff have been saying that royal mail won't pay us until the 28th of December after Xmas but last year they gave it to us in advance of Xmas as it is wages from the week before. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard anything about it

If you started work last week you'll get paid this week, if you start this week, you'll get paid next week and so on
