Live keying yesterday for Xmas temp and bee told today got 70% accuracy for that day is this something to worry about

I guess it depends on what their acceptable accuracy rate is. I used to work for a well known high street store picking and assembling orders in the depot,the requirement was 99.25% which equated to you being allowed one mistake in every 135 items picked.

It's random.

They pick 10(?) at random to accuracy check out of your 1300/hour by which point you've probably done 5-6000.

70% is not good but as it is your fist day live keying: you are bound to improve...

You are probably making the same mistakes - e.g using backspace too much, too much rotation, using the wrong function keys and of course, keying errors.

Your coaches should be there to help you. Accuracy is something you should watch more than speed; as if you don't improve quick enough, you will get the coaches and WAM on your case and could be out. But you might not even be chucked out - they could put you on ROI.
