applied for a royal mail temporary saturday job

sorry didnt know where else to put this.

i also work for angard but as many know the hours have been cut and what they are doing in northern ireland is texting you day by day on what shifts are a available.

i applied for the saturday contract for royal mail which is a temporary contract lasting 5 months, i have a number of questions about this.

1) what are the chances that my contract, if i was to be selected for the post, be extended beyond the 5 months that it is said to last?

2) how long does it take for the online application to change from test completed to another statement? i applied for this role on the 15th of november and it is now the 29th. does this mean that they just cant be bother telling me i havent even been accepted for an interview,

i have a pplied for other roled in royal mail and got to interview, but everytime i apply for this role in the EDO i dont seem to get to the interview part.

any advice on how long this should take would be much appreciated as i am fed up with the day to day text about shifts and would like to know that i have a possible fixed saturday for at least 5 months. i have worked in the EDO many times and i am working there again this saturday, so its not exactly like i am incapable of doing the job. if royal mail employed me it would save them 14 pounds per hour as angard charge 22.50 for every hour that a casual works.

If you get the job then 'usually' the contract goes on a bit,or there will 'usually' be opportunitiesto do extra days and hrs as well.

As for how long the application process takes,how long's a piece of string,they are very slow with that sort of thing.
