I went to a registration event back in mid-October and was offered a job at Mount Pleasant Nights starting on the 3rd of December.
Then I received a phone call a couple of weeks later and they told me they would have to move me to South London mail centre because they had hired too many people at Mount Pleasant. I accepted because that was fine for me. I received an email confirming this about a week later and last week I had it confirmed again and they said that I had passed my assessment. However, since then my status on their website has just said PROCESSING OFFER.
Does this mean I have the job or do I have to wait until it says HIRED AND START DATE AGREED?
How long does that normally take because I am supposed to start in less than 2 weeks time.

They are not very good at updating applications on the website, don't worry too much.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If they don't update my status before my start date should I just turn up at 10pm on the 3rd of Dec or should I phone them first?

Re: PROCESSING OFFER
My status on the website still says Processing Offer and i've still had no emails or phonecalls or anything.
Should I just go in on Monday night with my email confirming the job offer and that I have passed the assessment?
