can i ignore PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS?
Since I have received a call last week confirming my start date, can I just ignore the application status which still says PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS?

Yeah, I should imagine so.
You could always give Angard a quick ring just to put your mind at rest.

All RM places should not let you in unless your security checks are complete and acceptable.

Interesting because Angard were not meant to be recruiting the Christmas casuals after last years disastrous events with recruitment and pay. Which place is it for and are you sure it is Christmas casual and not all year round casual (which Angard are responsible for)?Colin1984 wrote:I'm a Christmas casual and it's Angard who have been in touch with me?Verging wrote:If this is a Christmas casual role it is nothing to with Angard it is Royal Mail you need to contact.Kaactus wrote:I hope so. Re: can i ignore PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS?
Well, the lady who asked if I was still available to work from the 24th November was from Angard. I originally applied for the job via Jobseekers, who advertised it as a 4-5 week temporary job if I remember correctly.Verging wrote:Interesting because Angard were not meant to be recruiting the Christmas casuals after last years disastrous events with recruitment and pay. Re: can i ignore PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS?
I am not saying it is not Angard all I am saying is they are not supposed to be recruiting Christmas casuals. That was in a letter we received from Royal Maill that stated this years Christmas casuals were going to be directly hired by Royal Mail an not Angard. Looks like they have not followed this promise - maybe it is just the MDEC they have allowed Angard to recruit. If it is Angard good luck.

It's Angard and Reed (although I don't know the exact relationship between them) coz I've been contacted by both of them.

Angard is a company owned by Royal Mail Group. Reed is the company that Royal Mail Group have effectively outsourced the management of Angard to.
