Christmas casual breaks
I'm due to start on 26/11 on the 3pm to 10pm shift at Chester MC, what breaks can i expect? since they don't pay casuals for them, i'm just working out how much i can expect to earn a week.

Re: Christmas casual breaks
Ataguess, you'll could get a (paid) smokers'/coffee break a couple of hours into shift. Your main break(s) could be based on whatever has been agreed with centre/shift manager(s).
You may find, for example, you'll get a couple of 20 min breaks or you may find that permanent staff have chosen to forego some break time to leave early on a quiet evening - though you'll still be paid til 10

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
