A Question About Recruitment

Post by Lken88 »

Hi all,
I attended an interview/assessment on the 8th of October. I passed the assessment task and at the end of the assessment they recruitment staff took two passport photos for an I.D badge and told me that I would hear back within 2 to 2 and a half weeks.
I have not heard anything since then, not an e-mail, letter or phone call. I checked my application status online and it says "processing security checks". However, it has been like that for some time. I was wondering about two things:
First, has anybody else been in this situation and secondly does anybody know whether or not they will inform me of the result of my application even if it is unsuccessful.
If it is of any help, I have applied for a Christmas temp - Manual data entry keyer position in Stoke-on-Trent.
Thanks in advance.

Assuming it's a Christmas position with RM themselves and not agency you'll not need to worry. Try to be available at short notice if you can, as possibly next you might hear from them could be via phone, asking if you want to take the next available slot. If you're unavailable that day they could move on to next person on their list. The online status can take a while to update, and may not be updated until a job offer is issued.

Hi all,
I passed Security checks on 19 Nov. I've applied for Manual Data Entry on Stoke on Trent. No call, no email to tell me whether I can have this job or not. What should I do now?
