Hello Guys & Girls, my first post on here, this site is very good. :thumbup

Just a quick intro: I'm starting as a temp on Nov 5th, Shrewsbury Ave, Peterborough. on the 06.00 to 14.00

Would be great to meet people working there or starting beforehand.
A little advice on the Induction is sought and what to expect on the first day etc and a location if possible.

Thanks for reading.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Hi SPCLL 1,
I am starting as a temp on Nov 5th, Shrewsbury Ave, Peterborough (packet hub) but I am on the 14:00 - 22:00 shift.

I have never worked for Royal mail / in a sorting office before so I am excited, yet nervous about my first day. I have two burning questions at the moment: when do we get paid? (I.e do we get paid on a weekly basis or at the end of the month - both options I assume would be pro rata). Also does anyone have any tips for doing the actual job? (The assessment was so rushed I only got the opportunity to ask 1 question (i.e what I should wear)

Many thanks

Rachel
