Does nationality matter while applying for a job?

Hello folks. This is a very simple question. Does nationality matter while applying for any vacancies at Royal Mail? I inquire about that because I just moved to London recently and I would like to find a postal job overhere. Let me say that I worked as a postman in the past 12 years in my country so I would love to think that my qualification and experience on this field should be appreciated in case of applying for a postal job. So what are my chances to find a postman or in-door sorter work?

Nationality - No.

As long as you are legally entitled to work in the UK/EU then you are fine.

The only other requirement would be a good grasp of the English Language both written and spoken. Your post demonstrates that your standards in this area are probably better than most of the staff and management.

With a Canadian haven taken a very senior position within Royal Mail quite recently it can indeed be concluded that nationalality is now of no cosequence whatsoever.
