I think I'm a pretty reasonable person. When I didn't receive any money on the first payday I was expecting it, I kept my cool. When I didn't receive any money on the second payday, I didn't do any more overtime, but I didn't threaten to walk out either.
When they gave me a cheque I had to take to the post office a week before Christmas (the queues!), I didn't complain.

But to be honest I'm sick of emailing and getting no reply, getting half the information I need to work out if they've paid me correctly (they haven't), or having people call me with sweeping general statements and no access to any of my details, promising it'll all be sorted by the 30th, by the 6th, by the 11th, by the 13th, etc. and it still not being sorted.
I'd rather not bother with legal action because it takes ages and I don't need the hassle/extra paperwork. But to those of you thinking the same...

do te et1 toasterman you can always withdraw it and its a free service ok it takes a couple of months but these people are absolute criminals.i dont know why all these workers keep phoning angard its clear to see that its wasting their time and phonebills.even if people are getting through the dumbass on the other end cant tell you anything.i cant wait to take them through the tribunal and show them what people power can do hopefully soo many people will do this that royal mail has to close angard down.

Giving it until this Friday. If I'm not paid the remaining £587.92 I'm owed by then, I'll be an ET1. Not holding out any sort of hope that I'll get it after receiving a letter today written in some kind of foreign 'Angard' language which actually states that I owe them around £40.

Starting to get very, very worried as I'm away travelling in Asia/Australia in two weeks and that £597.92 is my money to exist on. Calls/letters/emails have had no success so far; not a single one replied to. I'm unable to get any credit cards either so when my cash runs out I don't know what I'm going to potentially do! All the while Angard sit with my hard earned money in their pockets. Truly disgusting.

Having banged my head against a brick wall at this 'overflow' contact centre for a third time, I have just sent an (actually quite polite) email to Angard which does not say about them exactly what I feel but will hopefully get the situation resolved. I have advised them that I have submitted an ET1 form due to their complete inaction to this point. The email reads as follows:

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is P Wood. Today, I received a payroll statement to date through the post from Angard Staffing showing that I have so far only recieved a £350 Post Office advance for work completed as a Christmas Casual at the Royal Mail. This is sadly indeed the case.

I commenced my employment in the Gateshead Mail Centre at the Team Valley on 5/12/2011 and worked there until 24/12/2011. To reiterate, so far I have received nothing other than the £350 Post Office voucher given to me by Royal Mail managers.

I understand that your payroll operates on a Sat-Fri basis. If that is the case, then the hours which I have worked are as follows:
w/c 3/12/11: 37.5
w/c 10/12/11: 45
w/c 17/12/11: 37.5
w/c 24/12/11: 6.5
Total hours: 126.5 - I have already accounted for unpaid breaks in this calculation.

As I am 28 years old (DOB given here), and my shift never began earlier than 7.30am and never finished later than 3.30pm, I understand my correct pay rate is £6.08/hr. 126.5*6.08 = £769.12 gross. This is the amount which I understand to be due, less any deductions.

I have called the telephone number (08454607318) on your payroll statement on three occasions - 29/12/2011, 06/01/2012 and today (17/01/2012) - but I only ever get through to an overflow contact centre and not through to payroll direct. On the first two occasions, now 10 and 20 days ago respectively, the advisors took all of the above information from me and contact details but, as of yet, no one has called me back and no money has been received from Angard into my bank account.

I regret that this CONSISTENT INACTION on YOUR part has led me to take matters elsewhere and I have today submitted an ET1 (employment tribunal) form. I will gladly withdraw the ET1 once I receive payment for ALL of my hours worked, as outlined above.

As I understand this contract now to be finished, I ALSO REQUIRE A P45 document.

Ah, perhaps but my priority is basically getting what I am due from the hours I actually worked between 05/12/11 and 24/12/11. Still, I have just gone and submitted my ET1 form right now - saved a copy of that for the records as well.

I recommend submitting a claim for unpaid wages, overtime, holiday pay and time wasted on pursuing pay and filling in ET1 forms. Once Angard take it into their heads to request money from workers it is inevitable and is a step to covering yourselves.

I wrote them an email yesterday explaining again that the hours are wrong, and that I don't owe them money (their latest ridiculous claim, on the latest payroll statement to date). I've mentioned that I've complied with all their procedures, and not failed to sign in on any day I worked, nor failed to sign out where I did overtime, and that they need to go through their records and look at it a bit more closely.
They haven't replied so far, but then I've emailed them 3 times in the last week and they haven't replied to any of them. I did request in the first of those three that I'd rather they got someone in payroll to phone me if they'd like to call, instead of the admin staff who can't tell me anything - so maybe thats what they haven't called. Perhaps the one person at Angard who has a clue what they're doing is on holiday this week.

I also gave them until this Friday to progress significantly with correcting my hours, and paying me the money they owe me, and told them that if they don't, I shall be filing an ET1 form this weekend. Nobody can say I haven't given them adequate opportunity to contact me, and/or pay me the money they owe me for the hours I've worked - they just don't want to deal with the problems.

Just as an addition, I've sent Angard three emails in the last 7-10 days (no more since Wednesday), including clarifying where they've gone wrong, all the hours I worked, where I worked them, etc. Apart from the autoreply email, I've had no reply from a human whatsoever, whether by email or phone.

I shall now have to progress with my ET1 I guess. I could do without this hassle to be honest. Thanks a lot Angard.

I seriously urge you all not to wait any longer, Angard have been given enough time to sort this debacle out.
Get your ET1 sorted and submitted now, it costs nothing except your time to complete it online.
It can easily be cancelled/withdrawn if necessary

I haven't gone down the ET1 route yet. Having spoken twice on phone this week i was hoping it might all be resolved.
i could not understand their payroll statement which came last weekend which I had to chase up.
I'm missing a payment for 23-12-2011 (7nights), they haven't shown my £350 voucher, no holiday pay, I night shown at £6.08, others at £6.58 and one Sunday at £8.58.
I keep telling them it was the Royal mail rates with them as the Employer ALL clearly shown on my RM page that I'm sticking too.
Has anyone on thios forum working for Angard got a Shift allowance?
How was I supposed to know the "Angard rates" when my first payslip arrives Jan 10th!

I'll give them one more week. By my calc I'm about £155 gross short + Holiday pay missing providing they don't want to claim back the £350 voucher!

I used to get at least a reply by the end of Friday. Apart from two automated responses I have had nothing back. I find it far easier to email as I can detail the hours and days and have a record from them (they detail your original email in the reply). Will wait until Monday. I won't go down the ET1 route yet as I have been paid (all be it incorrectly) and still have a contract until June.
