WHY WERE WE GIVEN THE FIGURE OF £350 IN THE 1ST PLACE

Just a thought, why not £150, £200 or £250?

i really dont get it and by rights, that £350 should be scrapped, because if i recall correctly, we were not paid in the 1st week

Again, we are treated as if we all made the mistakes and now we must all be punished for it

If I remember correctly the average weekly pay for Angard was said to be £174.45 which was paid to some for the 3rd week of pay - because they could not work out what they should get paid until later .

This would have been worked out at the end of the second week beginning of the third week of Christmas casual period (around 16th December).

Hence, for some of those that had not been paid the first and second week they gave them the £350 voucher - which is roughly double the casual weekly average Angard had worked out the casuals had received previously.

I do not know if this is true I am merely offerring an opinion on what may have happened and the possible thinking behind it.

Something went up on the notice borad in Poole Dorset Mail Centre about this £174.45. I could not understand it and I asked a RM Line Manager to explain it on my last night and he couldn't.
The figure has nothing to do with night shift rates ? If you worked like I did 7 nights running should come to around £416 Gross based on 2010 RM rates.
Maybe there is a bus # 350 that goes past Angards London Office and they used that for the Voucher figure then halved that for the following week.

The stories on here are just incredible. In 37 years of working I have NEVER come across a Payroll system ( though that is being polite) like the one Angard have.
It makes FAWLTY TOWERS look highly respectable.
Fridays now makes me mad with all the NONE payments + NO payslips!

An average pay for casuals would not include variations of shift, pay rate or number of hours. It is simply the average across all casuals they were able to workout some form of pay for. I suspect casuals had been paid but some would have been given incorrect rates/hours and these would have been used to determine that average.
