Strange payslip this week - What is Net Deduction???

It seems that they have combined two payslips since I didn't get one for the past 2 weeks.

Payments:
Week 1 - 37.5 hrs @7.58 - £284.25
Week 2 - 45 hrs @ 6.58 - £296.10

Deductions:
Income Tax - £96.80
Nat. Ins. - £36.28
Net Deduction - £148.05


Both weeks were all nightshift, so I don't understand how they can be different rates.

What the hell is this "Net Deduction"???

Should I be losing nearly 50% of my wages to deductions???

Just spoke with someone on the phone and he explained "Net Deduction" as them correcting their mistakes.

It's just thrown me off course having two weeks on one payslip, but I'm still not 100% sure it is correct.

At least you've had a payslip. I started work for them 20 days ago and am yet to see one.

Is net deductions for 2 weeks???
NI is taken after your free bit, not exactly sure how much, not got my tax book in front of me . But i don't understand why so much deductions. Hopefully you'll get it back at a later date, depending on your current employment this year.

Your rates for both week should be the same. I suspect it should be the higher rate - as 6.58 is the rate for casuals excluding Christmas period. See the stickie on pay rates.

I only got 1p so i called Angard and they told me hundreds of people are calling saying the same thing and i as well have been charged 177 net deduction.

Got my final weeks payslip today. Totalling 67 hours, £442.86.

Deductions-
Tax - £88.40
NI - £36.46
Net Deduction - £317.99

I can only assume they've taken the max they can (from the initial £350 emergency payout), leaving me with 1p. Still not received any payments through BACS as the account number on all previous payslip have been wrong, yet emailing them the correct details and ringing in doesn't help either. Sigh.

people we need to start taking notice of this. they are taking 350 quid back of us so the week they gave us that whats happened to our actual wage ?? if they are taking it back of us we have ended with no wage for a week ? they basically lent it to us instead of paying us it. we should have only had to pay back the difference of what out actual wage was e.g (our wage for that week turned out to be £220 so we should have to pay back £130) the week we got vouchers we had ended up with no money from

The payslip seems designed to be deliberately opaque. Do RM workers receive payslips like that?

Did you receive a voucher from RM?

Nope I have never had a problem with pay. The only unusual thing is I received a tax refund as I was previously on emergency tax. Other than that I have always received the right pay on time (which is rare for Angard!)

Actually I received something called "F-Flow" for the £152.90 on my last payslip and they have taken it out of this pay slip. Guess that extra figure wasn't a tax refund but it was some kind of voucher that I didn't ask for or need? I need a piss-up in a brewery organising for my birthday but I certainly wont be asking Angard to organise it!!!

Well my payslip was very strange. It had two payments the exact same for the same dates which was 23/12/11. I also had a net deduction of £350.00 which was the barcode I got leaving me with a pay of £70.76? wtf is up with that?
