Try Incompetent, Unresponsive, Uncommunicative, Ignorant of Employment Law, naive, and lastly downright sneaky. Totally untrustworthy, and will not have anything to do with them again. Uncommunicative throughout the recruitment/vetting process, nothing in writing sent to the prospective employee (least the only document I have received from them so far is a payslip for the first day's pay! There have been 2 weeks since the pay issue occured, not even an email apologising and advising us what Angard as our employing agent were doing to rectify the situation. Nothing.

The people running Angard are not fit to hold responsibility for operating a company.

Contracts were not attached to the email forwarded to my RM email account, which mysteriously this year, did not forward emails to my personal email account, this worked well in previous years, I did not need to logon to the RM account to discover if the status of my application had changed.

Sneaky because of the lack of notification of the payment to the hourly rates, there is a significant difference in wages this year compared to last year. Angard deliberately remained evasive about wage/shift payments, until it was too late.

Been with this shower since the very beginning. (12th September) work has never been the same since. Not one correct payslip, wages wrong, missing shifts.
"flexible resource" my arse. Hardly any work for weeks, missed phone calls from blocked numbers, 3 hour shifts offered 30 miles from home. Turning up for work to be informed no body knew we were supposed to be there.

My managers have been trying to get me to work nights next week, I explained that its not worth the hassle for 50p extra (considering I was doing nights for £7.76 pre Sept)

I guess Angard will still be about after Christmas as the "flexible resource" will still be needed. Well it will be without me.

I applied months ago for a position and was excited to receive a text telling me to book an interview. As instructed I logged into my account only to find there was nowhere to book an interview. Alarm bells should have started ringing at this point.

Months down the line I received another text - again telling me to book an interview. It'd been so long I couldn't remember which position I'd applied for - I was unemployed at the time and applying for several jobs a week. This time I did manage to book an interview at a set time and date and thought, "this is great! A chance of work!". I photocopied, printed off and signed all that they requested and readily prepared for the interview.

On the day, I arrived prompt and early along with everyone else - at completely the wrong destination. Angard had sent us to a different mail center miles from where we were supposed to actually be. It's a good job I have a car!

It didn't matter that I was late, because what happened after that could barely be classed as a "interview". No questions about previous jobs or why you want to work for Royal Mail, just a document check and "you're hired". They were giving people jobs as fast as they were coming in.

My turn. It was an afternoon and after a document check, they asked me if I could start that same night (thanks for the notice!). I wasn't given any infomation other than "come here at 11PM". What about rate of pay? Break entitlement? Contract?! Before I could ask I was ushered away and the next poor guy was "interviewed". Definitely not enough time to complete a CRB check - anyone could have been working for Royal Mail.

So, here I am after just over a week of being treated like cattle, doing the same boring job night after night on my feet with no appreciation, being 2nd class to anyone who actually works directly for Royal Mail and as far, no payment. Often I have been sent to a different departments to work having absolutely no clue or training as to what I'm supposed to be doing. Thank God other Angard staff are there to show me the ropes!

That's pretty much my story. Thanks to Angard we all have to spend our Christmas working like sheep and fighting just to get what's owed to us.
