Get Sky and the BBC involved.
Having done Christmas Casual work for the last two years,I applied this year and didn't even manage to book an interview. However the fact I seem to have had a lucky escape from this mess doesn't make me any less angry at the way people are being treated. Anyway,my feeling is that isolated coverage in the local press, coupled with RM's denials of problems and that 'only a small minority have been affected' won't help that much, people need to be phoning Sky or the BBC News Channel and exposing what's going on on a national level. RM mustn't be allowed to sweep this fiasco under the carpet.

Re: Get Sky and the BBC involved.
Although i agree with you m8, i doubt that it's very big news to sky or the bbc, there is enough coverage for them to pick it up if they wanted and they probably already know about the problem, But it's just not big enough for them, what would have got there attention though would have been a mass strike by casuals at the begining of last week, But that was never going to happen due to the fact that people/casuals need the cash to try give there familys a decent xmass.
RM and angard have now rode out the storm with only 1 week left , casuals will be paid , when i dont know, but they will be paid, RM and angard may be a bunch of f****d up twats, but they cant hold the wages off the guy's that have worked hard to earn a few bob.

Re: Get Sky and the BBC involved.
I have e mailed the Minister in charge of Royal Mail, the Prime Minister and Radio 5Live and the response has been the same - silence. Guess if it was the unemployed who had not had their payment for doing nothing, everyone would be up in arms but if you get off your bums and go to work, nobody gives a damn about you.
However, today I e mailed Moya Greene and she has replied (or at least her office has). She says they are working 24/7 to sort out the mess (her words), now whether or not anything happens is another thing. WE can only hope.

It's old news now,it has been covered already by a few.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Get Sky and the BBC involved.
BBC News 24 (7:27am) just briefly covered the story about ''100's'' of temporary workers who have not been paid, the office at Chelmsford where some staff are refusing to work until they're paid, with a brief interview of a woman who said that they've already had enough broken promises of pay. They now need to be paid cash, not lip-service. RM's line was ''difficulties with the payroll system.'' (I have difficulties getting my kettle to boil water, but over the years I've learned that I can usually get the kettle to work if I switch it on....) No mention at all of Angard. I don't know whether RM are now hiding Angard or whether the BBC decided that, as the agency is owned by RM, there's no point complicating things with the agency name.
EDIT: It's just been on again, just before the hour. It looks like they're running the 30-second article just before the hour and the half-hour
