I started working on the 5th of dec, my first payment should be due on 16th. There are people who started work at 28th of nov and still yet to receive their first payments, now hypothetically speaking, with the 24th of dec looming...could angard get away with not paying me(and others), since the last day of work will be the 23rd of dec and we already know its almost impossible to get hold of any at angard. I'm kinda worried b'cuz I don't recall actually signing a offical contract, so legally would they have to pay up???
Where I work, I hear whispers of people not being payed for weeks and some recieved the incorrect amount, but it seems like no one wants to say anything.

I thankfully am not working as a Christmas casual via Angard but my partner is and like so many on this site, he is concerned about payment. I have today discovered that the address he was given to send his P45 to was the wrong address and despite asking for acknowledgement of receipt, nothing has been forthcoming, so no idea which Angard desk this very important document is sitting on.
Anyway I decided today to contact the Minister responsible for the Royal Mail, maybe he can do something, as no one else appears to be interested and Angard website is a fairystory, they send payslips every Friday or Saturday via the post (oh yeah), money into bank the Friday of the following week you work and a 97% success rate!!! So if anyone is interested the Minister is Edward Davey and you follow the link on his website. I'm not saying I am going to have any luck (my partner can't do this, he is too busy working for Angard for no pay!!) however, if enough of us shout and shout loud enough there may yet be success.

I've just got through to someone at angard on the direct no (01604608291) who assures me that i have done my calculations wrong (i started on the 2nd) that i should have been paid for 1 day, last friday, and that i will start being paid this friday for the week 2nd - 9th dec. Frankly i don't believe him, but i was happy to find out they havent 'lost' my bank details and he recalled them over the phone.
Nice fella, sort of Iraqi Information officer esque. Very positive. I look forward to this coming friday with mucho excitement.
