No Pay No Payslip 2 (apologies to Bob Marley)
Monday night and totally frustrated with Angard. I have tried to contact Emily Paramore every 5 minutes all day about their failure to keep to their contractual obligations. The phone number for payroll queries is either engaged or rings out before cutting you off. Angard knew there was a problem so why weren't they working the weekend to resolve it? The P.O. managers have been very sympathic but they are in the same position as us, they cannot contact Angard. My partner was paid on Friday but has not received a payslip today (monday) so has no idea if NI contributions have been taken out. She is NI exempt but this did not prevent Angard taking NI from last weeks wages ( the person I spoke to in the wages section had little grasp of what should be done in these circumstances). I did speak to Emily Paramore last Monday and was given an assurance that I would be paid but this has not happened. I have sent an email to Angard requesting a compensatory payment for the delay in paying my wages and urge everyone to do the same. A colleague who was paid for his first week was not paid last week so 60% of our shift had a problem with Angard. Royal Mail say in the Guardian that stories of phone calls asking for bank details are "untrue". In our group 4/5 were called so Royal mail are just covering their backs. You have to ask WHY? If Angard are not up to the job GET RID and give the contract to someone who knows what they are doing! Will keep you posted on how long it takes to get paid.
